I've been trying to find a marriage for my William for some time now - all I know is that his wife's name was Lydia but I have been unable to find a surname. They would have been married (if they'd bothered!) around 1766 when their first child George Hutton was born with other children Sarah, John, Lydia, Elizabeth, and another George appearing between then and 1778. I did a search on the IGI today just using Lydia in the forename field and Carlisle as the place to look. One record came up - Liddia Hodgeson chr 18 Dec 1746 St Cuthbert's Carlisle. A grandson's census details showed Hodgesons' living next door, a bit of a tenuous link. Would anyone be able to do a search for me to see if this is the right Lydia who married William? It would be greatly appreciated.
