I agree with you Perth. It's not as bad as the American version (which I find unwatchable) but the "recaps" are still annoying.
[I think this is creeping into many of our TV programmes as are ads for forthcoming series or episodes giving a lot of the story away. I really hate this trend.]

There seems to be very little interest in this series by rootschatters. I wonder if it's because Diana is no longer involved?  :-\ Shame .... though despite the faults, it's still a great series and I am enjoying all the stories so far.

 :)

Ruskie, I suspect part of the problem is that it's on SBS, who don't do much advertising of their upcoming programme.  I know I keep missing the show because I keep forgetting its timeslot  :-[
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Yes, sorry Deb, regarding the incessant advertising and trend to "give the story away" I was not referring to SBS (which I don't watch very often), but more to the commercial stations - Channel 7 is particularly bad in this regard. I only watch two or three programmes on Channel 7, but their advertising is non stop - unbearable. :P

'S'orright, Ruskie, I knew that.  And I agree, the commercial channels are painful to watch, most of the time.  But I do wish I could set reminders for SBS!

I usually write myself a note otherwise I forget too.

Did you know that you can watch episodes online?:

Just click on the arrow to watch the entire programme. I'm not sure if you can watch previous weeks episodes, but you most certainly should be able to watch Don Hany's.

Oh my goodness!  Oz is now as technically-savvy as the UK?!

A big thank-you, Ruskie; - I didn't know that was available!

Cheers!

And I haven't been posting comments as I missed the second episode as I was on board the Indian Pacific, and now I'm in NSW for the coming weeks, I have very limited internet access. (I am hoping that will improve in a couple of weeks, though.)

I did see the Don Hany episode and although it was interesting in a way, I found it rather "flat".

I'm sure my D I L and I will watch the Michael Caton episode. I just hope I get a chance to comment.   ;)
