My Grandmother May Cairns lived in 8 Chalmers Street in 1921 she married Alexander McLaughlan.  Have you any further details of the certificate you could share?  Thank you for your reply.

I'm not sure how to reply,  it's my first time on this site. My G G Grandfather's death certificate says that he died in 8 Chalmers street in Nov 1921. I'm looking for family history. His name was Alexander Harvey

My gr-gr-grandfather was Dominick McLaughlin, but he was a transplant from Derry, Northern Ireland. He worked in Neilston/Paisley area as railway surface man. Believe the rest of this McLaughlin clan remained in Ireland, but unsure. He married in Neilston, had 2 daughters who both died young. I'd love to find his descendants in Londonderry!

Dates? Names of wife and daughters? Where did he die?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Well, I was also responding to this thread about McLaughlins in Renfrewshire. My gr-gr-grandfather, Dominick McLaughlin, did emigrate from Derry, but married and remained in Renfrewshire until his death in 1901. I don't know if other members of his McLaughlin clan followed him to Renfrewshire, but I do know one of his brothers was in the area for work for about a year, then returned to Ireland. Dominick married Bridgett Kerr in 1871. They had 2 daughters, Jane and Mary, who both pre-deceased their parents and never married. I will go back to my prior McLaughlin thread to pursue questions I still have about this family, thanks.
