No problem. I grew up in Southport, and my parents are still there (I'm now in Liverpool, 17 miles away). Botanic Rd is close to Churchtown, the location of St Cuthbert's Church, the original parish church of the entire area from north of Churchtown to Birkdale in the south until 1821, when Christ Church was built in the relatively new Southport (prior to this, the parich was made up of numerous small communities, the closest to central Southport being South Haws). Birkdale was in the parish, but was the only community that was officially a separate village until the two merged in the early 20thC.

Windsor Rd is close to Southport town centre, and runs up towards what used to be known as Little London.

You might find it interesting to use Google maps street view, especially for the Churchtown area, as this remains fairly unchanged over the last few hundred years and still has many thatched cottages. You will also be able to take a look at the parish church your ancestors used and the two Inns they will certainly have frequented.

I've done a little more digging, to see if I could find a link to my tree (all the old North Meols families are related).

John Gregory Threlfall's 5xgreat grandparents were my 7xgreat grandparents, William Hodges & Anne Wright, their grand daughter, Anne Hodges, married John Threlfall (son of John) in 1783. This couple's son, John Threlfall, married Ellen Johnson. This couple were parents of Thomas Threlfall, who married Nancy Jackson, and Thomas & Nancy were parents of Henry, who married Elizabeth Gregson. This couple were parents of Henry, who married Ellen Gregory.

Going back to the early family. Ann Wright, who married Henry Hodges, was daughter of Henry Wright (1665-1722) and Elizabeth Oarme. Henry Wright was son of Richard Wright, born c1640.

I thought you might be interested in the earliest will of this branch:

I can confirm the lineage - my Threlfalls start the same way, your Henry T b 1846 who married Elizabeth is the older brother of my  ancestor William T b 1848, who married a Dorothy Rimmer. You'll find loads of related Threlfalls in the Southport area even now. The North Meols Family History forum are great for helping out, and probably half of them are related in one way or another, so many names - Jackson, Rimmer/Rymer, Johnson, Hodges, Hunt etc are linked. I believe the name goes back to somewhere near Goosnargh,
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)
