Quintinshall Rail Crash 1915

 ;) Hi can any please help me to establish if a William Bean died in this rail crash, he was from Stockton on Tees, Co Durham, married to Margaret Thompson Bean, not sure if he died in this rail crash or on HMS Natal, both event took place 1915, any help would be appreciated.

According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website Stoker 3384S William Bean of the Royal Naval Reserve died on the HMS Natal 30th Dec 1915

 :) Thanks Andycand, two relatives lost on same crusier, must have been awful for the Bean parents
losing 2 sons same year.

If you think this is your William then his records are available online for £3.36 at National archives site,no S3384 Royal Naval Reserve.

 ;D Cath the widow Margaret shown as living at 3 Smithfield Stockton is same address of Thomas Bean who married my gt aunt Mary, the 1901 census shows family living at 14 bone st, its same family iv'e no doubt.
As for the records i got my gt uncle Marks from Fleet airarm museum, Yovil.
I might go infor William's papers but will hang fire for awhile ;)

The soldiers on the train were mainly from the Royal Scots with a battalion of the HLI,

If it is your Thomas Bean buried at STOCKTON-ON-TEES (DURHAM ROAD) CEMETERY then this is a possible for his death registration
