Free 1901 and 1911 census? COMPLETED

Hi everyone. I thought I saw a TV ad at the weekend for free access to 1901 and 1911 census until 1st April. Was I dreaming or did anyone else see this?

Hi
No you weren't dreaming, I saw it last night on an ad for Ancestry although it doesn't seem to be correct. I have just tried both 1901 & 1911 but no access without a sub.

Hi,
Yes, that is what they are advertising - free access to all areas - you have to sign up to view.
Sorry the link is not taking you to the advert for some reason.
Trying again :-

14 day free offer - expired 30 March 2013 - takes you to the same screen as above.

5th one down free 1911 census but it still takes you to the same 14 day trial screen

I think it says in very small print 29th March to 2nd April. Bottom left hand corner of the TV screen. So, it is for Easter. Take a close look when it is on again.
