Yes! That's the correct Dr Boothroyd. This is really exciting! Mary Ruth Dennis was the sister of Joseph William Dennis who was my husband's great-grandfather. I would love to know more - and to see a picture of the vase. Are you one of Mary's grandchildren? I am not sure how many children she had because she went to the USA, I believe, and no-one seems to know a great deal about her. Several of Joseph's grandchildren are in their 80s and we are still in touch with them. I have a lot of family history and would love to share it.
Since I posted on here, I have found more information about Benjamin Boothroyd, including his lengthy will which I am transcribing. This has spurred me on to get it finished!
