Hi Rosie and Ambly,
Thank you for your replys. I have been debating this for weeks as to there being a connection between the 1851 census and my William and Grace.
The Charles E Read who is with Grace William and Arabella  in the 1861 census was baptised in 1850 with parents William and Grace and occupation Lic. Victualler. In 1871 census Grace Reads brother is William Wheelwright which would mean that Grace's name would be Wheelwright??

I followed Honor Mears who is in the 1851 census with William and Grace Read and it appears that she is Honor Fussell who also had a sister Grace Fussell. I cannot see Graces baptism on ancestry as I do not have the world wide coverage.
The name Morgan appears to have followed through the line here in Australia.
  It is very confusing.
Thank you both so much for your help
Kind regards
mariac

Sorry I had not read all the replies when I posted my last one.

Thank you Sharon for the baptism of Grace Fussell.
I now have Thomas and Mary Fussell with children Honor, Henry Sarah and Grace. Thomas was a Cooper.
I did think Grace's mother maybe a Morgan but Thank you Rosie it deletes that thought.

One way to be certain is to get the birth certificate of George Morgan Read's sister, Sarah Ellen Read.   From the baptisms we know their parents were the same.

Sarah Ellen Read   birth reg'd Dec.qtr.1840 Kensington - ref. 3 250.

It certainly sounds the same family to me - I would guess his change in occupation is what prompted the move the Hayes.

In 1871 census Grace Reads brother is William Wheelwright which would mean that Grace's name would be Wheelwright??

Sometimes the relationship description on census is not completely accurate.  Sister could mean sister in law so she could be related to William Wheelwright either through his wife or Grace's husbands William Read's siblings.  It doesn't help though. ::)

Yes Annette I was convinced it was the same family then little bits and pieces seems to suggest otherwise.  :)

Would the birth of Sarah Ellen Read have the mothers name on it?

Sarah Ellen Read is in the 1861 census working with Sarah Fussell who is a house keeper at the same address. and
In 1851 census Frances Emily Read is working with Sarah Fussell at a vicarage in Hayes.

Thank you Rosie. That could be an explanation. I will see if I can find William Wheelwright in earlier census.
I have tried to see if there is a death for William Read 1851-1861 but none appears to come up.

Appreciate all your help

Yes, the birth certificate of Sarah Ellen Read would show her mothers name - plus her maiden name.

However, from what you last posted it does seem to confirm that Fussell was Grace's maiden name.

I suspect that the 1841 census is missing for Notting Hill Place, Kensington, parts of Kensington are.

What a shame they are missing. It would be nice to have that one. :(

Seems like Sarah Ellens birth cert. may be the way to go.
