I have not researched military before so a pure novice. I would like to find out more about My Grandfathers Brother: James Lyon McInnes. James was Born 1910 Edinburgh. His Parents were James and Jemima McInnes. His nick name was Bo. I have a few Photographs of him and wondered if anyone can tell me about his uniform, regiment, etc. Any help will be appreciated...

Hi
He was a Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery, in the picture were he wearing shorts, he is wearing Khaki Drill Dress so he is somewhere quite hot.
The last picture shows the Gunner Cap Badge.

Hi, he looks to be wearing a medal ribbon for the Africa Star, it has a number "8" on it which I believe denotes he was with the 8th Army.
