Hi folks not been on for a wee while but hope someone can help,
would any posters have any older family members who remember bombing raids in Glasgow in WW II.
I am looking for information on one bombing raid in particular that may have been in the Gorbals or an area close by, this was unusually during the day and where sadly about a dozen young children were found deceased in their chairs whilst attending a birthday party inside a church.
I believe the church was not damaged except for the windows and all the children were killed not by the flying glass but by the shock wave.
horrific but any advice or info would be appreciated.
thanks,
scott
