Hi,

There is an obituary for him in the Oshawa newspaper.   Date of death matches the one on the notification card found by Ken.

He is buried in Oshawa Union Cemetery.

What vbain posted is part of the info that you need to order the military file at LAC. It is on the page before actually viewing the Attestation papers.

If you decide to order the file, read through the section on "How to Consult a File on Site or Order a Copy". It has all the information that you need to order the file and if you find it confusing just post that here and someone will help you through it.
