Surnames starting HONEY*********

Hi
    talking to someone yesterday who has an ancester named HONEYMOLD. Has anyone ever come accross this name or similar which could be mis-spelt.

Bennett, Tennant, Richards, Price.....Staffordshire
Reid, Brown, Harrison, Saunders, Coetzer........South Africa and Scotland.

Searching the Notts FHS Baptism CD for HONEY + any other characters gives only 3 entries for HONEY.

I'd suggest also trying the UCL surname profiler but cannot now find it.

Hi Bigjon, there are Honeyman quite commonly.  Man being the closest to mold I can think of.

I agree, if you look at familysearch.org and type in Honeymold surname then Honeyman and variants e.g. Honyman comes up in Nottinghamshire

Hi, also Honeymoon is a surname in Nottinghamshire.


My first marriage went moldy just after the Honeymoon.   ;D
