Is Doyle not Rachel's husband?

Rachel's father may or may not have been someone called Patrick and may or may not have been an ex-soldier/soldier.

Here's Rachel Doyle in 1911- ages consistant with 1901 so perhaps Rachel reduced her age a few years so as not to be older than her husband- think the 'son' John Doyle could be the adopted orphan John Boyd with them in 1901:

Another interesting bit from 1911 is that Rachel had 8 children but only 2 living.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

The son, John I know for fact, was adopted and my father was the only one of grans 8 children who lived.  I have found four of the children's death records.  They died from conditions which are now easily cured.  Horrible times then.
