Yes I am very much interested in Patrick Rossiter, but I expect I have a lot of info to share with you and I am sure that you will know or have heard of my mother, her sister and brother who are all alive and living in Dublin .

Hello there, thanks for those thoughts and thanks for the reply. I did spot the name on the Coat of Arms on your post and I did wonder if you were a generic researcher or hopefully we had come across a 2nd cousin. Yes I am aware of your folks in Dublin , I called your Aunt last week to give her the news - just to let her know and I asked her to let your mom and your uncle know the news. I may have met your folks back in 1969 when we visited Dublin as a family (I was 7) and we still have the photographs taken by your uncle on that trip. I last saw your Aunt back in 1992.... but left such a good impression she had forgotten that particular visit ! Anyways it is lovely to make the connection and my sister is starting to document our family tree so it would be nice to keep in touch. Best wishes Eamon.

Hi.  Do you have anymore information on Patrick and Thomas Rossiter, perhaps the names of any siblings so I can try and identify them on the records I have ?  I have been researching the Rossiters for over 30 years and have lots of records.  I too have Rossiter, Whelan and Byrne in my family tree!

Hello, Me and my children are the last descendants of the Rossiter family, (we are the last to carry the name) that i am aware of?

I am very knowledgeable of my past family but to which Rossiter family you are researching is key?

I do have a Patrick Rossiter in my family, (he was my uncle) but his father (my grandfather) was called Anthony Rossiter, i do know that my uncle was named after another Patrick in the line.

I hope this helps, if you want more information please feel free to reply!

Hi Gensearcher, there are two books that may be of interest to you;
1) "Tara Hill" - St Kevins Centenary Celebrations 1987. I had a quick look in this and there are some naughter graves listed in Kilcavan Cemetery (Kilcavan cemetery is on the side of Tara Hill) and 2)another book called "Croghan to the Sea" - a local history of castletown, coolgreany and the surrounding areas. I had a quick look in this too but rossiters did not jump out at me but may be of interest to you as it is the local area. regards gerard
