You're very welcome, nice to put some flesh on the bones.

Albert son of James and Hannah married Sarah Abbie Barr 10 April 1914. They appear on the 1920 census with a son Albert W Aykroyd.

Marriage:- https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N4XQ-1PP

1920 Census :- https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MF9Y-LYJ

In 1930 it looks like Albert has remarried.  It states he was first married at 24 years which fits with the marriage record, It also states this is a second marriage.  Mary his 2 nd wife was first married at 25 years.

Going back to Anita daughter of Thomas and Ida mentioned in reply 3. It would seem Anita was married twice. She appears with her first husband and 2 daughters on the 1i940 census.

Hi Sandra,

Clicked on the mundia link, but not gone any further yet.

Do you know if you can look at other Trees if I register, or do you have to put your own tree on first.

It's in my nature to be cautious.

Many Thanks
KR

KR,     I hope that you get this.  I just read your request for information about Hannah Dodd Aykroyd.  Hannah was my Great Grandmother.  In 1883 she went to Montreal, Canada from Manchester, England to join my Great Grandfather, James Aykroyd, also from Manchester, who had arrived earlier.  She came over with their two oldest children, Elizabeth Ann 6 and James 2.  A few months later my Grandfather, Thomas, was born in Montreal and a little over a year later a daughter, Alice, was born there too.  When Alice was 11 months old the family moved to Boston, Massachusetts.  Where two more sons and a daughter were born.
James and Hannah traveled back and forth to England many, many times to visit their families. Sometimes they took a child or two with them for the visit.  Their youngest, Alsie was taken to England to try and swim the English Channel.  She made an attempt but was unable to complete the challenge.  The last time that I could find a record of their voyage to England was in the late 1930's.  In 1937 James died and in 1942 Hannah died. I don't think that Hannah made any trips after James' death.
What information do you have on the Dodds?  On my great grandparents' marriage certificate, her father's name is listed as Thomas.  Her mother's name wasn't given. I found a census that seems to match the family and the mother's name on that was given as Alice.  That is all that I know about the Dodd's.   I think that she had a sister named Jane or Mary Jane.  I really don't know the names of any other brothers or sisters.   Would you know any of this........Anything at all about this family would be so helpful.     Gail A.
