Joseph Arkell in 1841 Fairford

I don't seem to be able to find the origin of my great-great-grandfather, Joseph Arkell.  Could somebody look up the 1841 census  Fairford

This is the only Joseph listed in Fairford in 1841

I still do not know what happened to Mary Ann Arkell, Joseph's wife in 1851.  Was she in the census for that year?  Could you check for me please.  In 1861 she ended up in Islington, but never remarried.

I suspect that Joseph had relatives in Gloucestershire and that is why the couple returned before 1841; they had been married in London in 1836.  Were there anymore Arkells in the Fairford area?

Hi Peter

The famous Arkell's Brewery was established by a man from Kempsford - just up the road from Fairford.  Started many a beer drinking career in my secondary school days!  :)
