Hi, i've spent ages looking for keziah as well, drives you mad!!!

I also Paul have had some real corkers i meant to post on the mistranscriptions post.

HENRY SOLLARS IN 1901 IS HANRY GOLLIN !!!! I couldn't find him and posted it on Rootschat and in a couple of days a reply with that and it is clear as anything on the census.

She will be there somewhere.

Kev.

Hi all,
I have come to the conclusion that she is not calling herself Keziah and also the second name is mistranscribed - as I know her father was William and he was a smith - but I cant find him on either census's and I do belive him still to be alive as I am sure he is one of the witnesses on the marriage cert in 1874.
will have another search this afternoon!!

Hi all,

Ros (Piedstilt), was it you that came across Agnes Couchman Hunter (bn 1891)? I can't find her anywhere.....and I was wondering if we could try and find a connection between her and Jan's Hunters...

I'd thought she might be easier to find than Keziah...

Yes I did. I've rather lost the plot and it took me a while to remember where I found her, but then I recalled typing Couchman Hunter into Ancestry and she popped up in the Death Index 1984-92. However, I've tried following her up and can't find her anywhere else!

I suppose it is conceivable that Hunter was her married name and the conjunction of 'Couchman Hunter' is just an annoying coincidence.

Anyway, the short answer is that she is no easier to find than Keziah!

Just spent another hour chasing Keziah without success. Beginning to have the feeling I am missing something obvious, but what I don't know.

Me too Nessie - trouble is i start out with a spare hour looking for her and end up all day, then get a head ache lol.
But ... on another ancestor I was tracing the same thing happened I couldnt find him for about 2 years then all of a sudden last weekend I found him in all but one census - I am now the proud owner of his birth certificate!!

Well, I've just spent another hour looking for Keziah!  I re-checked the Clayton Street data on 1871 and there's nothing remotely right for her or William Hunter.

As Pam says, maybe if you could give us something showing the data from each census - age, place of birth, spellings - that you have already, something might just click!

cheers

Paul
