The only thing that strikes me is the age differences in the census, that makes her 17 at the time of marriage if the later ones are correct. Have just spent a couple of hours trailing through the Lambeth census. Still no joy but I am sure she is there somewhere.
We have tried the usual, now is the time to think of something different and we may strike
 lucky.

She's lied at some point.  Either to be younger on the census or to get married without permission.

If it is the later then she may not be wholly trueful about her father?

Hi

I've just had a trawl for William Masons living in Surrey in 1861.

Of those who are heads of household, only one has an occupation remotely connected with metal - a brass finisher.
He has a son William aged 12 and a 4 year old daughter Emma, born Walworth.

RG9/337 Folio 97 Page  42

None of the other William Hunters looked like candidates to be Keziah's father.  Maybe Keziah had another name?

I think I hav exhausted myself with Keziah and must reluctantly admit defeat!

Good hunting!

Paul

Just had another go, no luck but has just dawned on me with mistranslations, has anyone tried Smith as the surname and mason as the occupation? will give that one a try before I pack in for now.

Isn't Mary's full name Marion from 1891 census?

Jan,

Hard to keep up with this one!

Aaaaarggghh. I too have looked till blue in the face for the mysterious Kezia in 1861 and 71.   I tried a William and/or Mason and occupation Smith in 61 without success too.  I think I looked through every Mason household with William as head in Lambeth and Southwark and Kennington without anything jumping out at me.  Probably repeating what others have done  :(

Sorry, tale of woe and lack of ideas now  :-X

I'll have another go when I'm fresh, so to speak.  We still have a bit of time to find her!

Has she been checked for on the BVRI ?  Don't take any notice of me if this has been done aaaages ago.

:)
