Hi Shanko

What makes you rule out the family Annie found?  Is this not the best we've got up until now? :)

cheers

Paul

I have been doing this family for many moons and finally have a breakthrough so yeppers it is so cool. I just hope Jan has inheritted the 'short' family trait or boy I won't be happy  ;D

Thanks for your input though

I am looking for a connection for what I know of this family from family letters, stories etc and even the family above Annie put up which I do have earlier yrs for census wise there is nothing to really say they are our family.

I know on Jans marriage for Keziah William is a Smith but on my Charlotte he is Blacksmith also both girls have no middle names and neither Keziah nor Charlotte are on those census.

Paul I wish they were our family of Mason's

That's helpful to know, Shanko.   They're very good at hiding, these Masons!

Surprising not to find them on two consecutive censuses, though - Major Mistranscrption (nice chap just a little deaf from the cannon  :), with the blunt pencil in the driving rain can perhaps be blamed for their  absence from one of the censuses, and (as has been hinted at earlier in this thread) it could be that there are gaps in the available data for Lambeth.

But the clock's ticking down and we don;t seem to be any closer.
 :(

cheers

Paul

Ahhhh but we have gotten closer in one sense ......... if it wasn't for Emily contacting me or posting my Mason interests on here , Jan and myself would be missing eachothers Mason searches but now we can work together

Oh oh oh, I have an idea for Rootschat Challenge for June!

To find a Charlotte Mason born abt 1850-1852 Bermondsey, Southwark, Lambeth (who knows anymore!), father William Mason a blacksmith and a sister Keziah Mason born (lambeth, Southwark maybe) abt 1856-1857

Any takers?

Shanko,

I'm pondering if that is a good idea or a bad idea  :D
