Small world eh, As I look out of my office window I am looking at the Dockyard in Chatham - I work about 5 minutes away!

Sorry Robert, chatting away, I've just seen the time there - I'm keeping you from you beauty sleep.
Take care

I am never early to bed - this is the time I need to do my UK research if I need to speak/email for response. Another thing about shipping to Australia. For my application for citizenship I had to show how I arrived here and from where. So the NAA Australia was my source for arrival and i subscribe to FindMyPast and they had the ship departure list with all the details. So detailed were they Immigration accepted them without certification. I left there Dec 1946 and arrived here Jan 1947 (3 months old).
Also found the same detail for my father coming to Australia in early 1934 arrival on Jervis Bay.
I could not find an Edward Jones departing UK on Jervis Bay from 1890 to 1960 so maybe the crew is not separately listed.

Hi Robert
I'm sure there must be records somewhere with the information I am seeking, I'm gradually chipping away, I'm sure I will eventually get there.
All the best with your searching
Kind regards
Lex
