Searching for details on the following families in Cork City in the 1800's Scannell,Murray,Hegarty and Mahoney also looking for details on English soldiers in Cork 1907 to 1915

If these families are RC, your best bet is the parish records on
www.irishgenealogy.ie
. I don't think the parish records for the North Cathedral parish have been put online yet. Last I heard they were to go to the Roots Ireland site. You would need to give more detail if you are looking for help with finding specific records. Records of English soldiers you will find with other army records or you might have some luck with the 1911 census.

If searching for soldiers in 1911 census remember that people in institutions (hospitals, workhouses, gaols, barracks, etc.) should be listed by intials rather than name.
