Manchester Catheral Marriage Register Look Up
« on: Tuesday 26 February 13 13:01 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I was wondering if anyone can look up a marriage record that took place in Manchester Catheral.  I have looked on familysearch.org and found a record for Frederick Chatterton and Hannah Halfryard which took place on 8 March 1824.  I was wondering if the names of their parents are on this record so I can prove that it is the marriage of my 4 x great grandparents.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Regards
Leanne

Thank you Rosie. My Frederick was a confectioner but not sure it's the right Hannah now. Thanks again for your help.

If you are only doubting it's your Hannah because she is 'of the town of Manchester' don't forget that it is not necessarily where she was born but just where she was living for the period of the banns. (The marriage was By Banns)

Not sure if this will help with parents names
different spelling of Hannah's maiden name
I wonder if either of these are Hannah's baptisms

two baptism for a Hannah AVEYARD
1807 Woodkirk’s West Ardley https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NTHR-BJ6
1807   “                  “          “      https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NF7K-9YY

1861 census widowed Hannah Chatterton’s pob East Ardsley Yorkshire
1851 census Hannah’s pob Leefair Yorkshire

possible burials of Frederick & Hannah

Hannah Chatterton age 66 (1805)
Burial 5 May 1871 St Peter Bradford (Bradford Cathedral)

Frederick Chatterton age 51 (1805)
Burial 26 Nov 1856 St Peter Bradford

this looks to be Frederick bapt.

Frederick Chatterton Bapt. 24 Mar 1805  St Mary , St Denys & St George Manchester
Father William mother Fanny

Thank you Ladyhawk. The first baptism is Hannah's.  Her father William died in 1813 and her mother Elizabeth lived with Hannah and her family until her death in 1843.

I know plenty going forward but I want to try and get further back with Fredericks parents and hopefully grandparents.  William Chatterton I believe was born c.1770 and Fanny could be Frances Johnson but I am finding it difficult to prove it with any online evidence and I dont live in Lancashire.

Thank you once again for your help.
