Spooky connections
« on: Saturday 23 February 13 20:07 GMT (UK) »
I've been having some weird connections to the novels I've been reading lately
First off was book by Stephen Booth concerning the horse meat trade...then up in the news comes the scandal...OK I could cope with that :-)
Lately I have been working my way through the Michael Jecks books, historical fiction in the 14th Century. King Edward 2 and Hugh de Despencer. Now I find going back through someone's Lill Family tree on ancestry that I am connected to that nasty man!!! Oh golly how to prove that!! I am nowhere near those sort of records...but how exciting!
Main names:
Scotland (Travellers) - Townsend/Townsley, Conway, Stewart

Actually went back in to have another look and Hugh de Despenser's line goes back through the Plantagenets past William the Conqueror to Ethelwulf E Atheling (806-857)
Cor blimey what a right royal tree :-)
