I have had a look but I don't find the website easy to navigate around! Is there an easy way to search or do you have to look through every parish record in case by chance you come across what you are looking from?
No it isnt indexed, so you have to look through the actual registers fro each parish - the same as you would if you visited the Record Office, but with the bonus that you can do it online from your own home.
We are spoilt these days by having so many things indexed, just putting in a name and clicking - not so long ago even censuses had to be searched manually.
But many, if not most, records still have to be searched parish by parish - otherwise you run the risk of homing in on someone whose details are similar to your persons, who happens to have been indexed on some website, when the real person is elsewhere but just not indexed anywhere!
Going through the PRs often has the added bonus of finding other family members as you go.
