Larkspur, it was not intention to criticise you. I was referring to the comment about telling other family members. I have unintentionally upset others in my extended family circle by telling them about some of the things I have found. I am of the same mindset as you, the more I find out about these ancestors is the more I feel I come to know them almost. Good or bad, it doesn't matter to me; I have even been saddened by some things I have found, but it still fleshes out my family tree.
Unfortunately, not every one feels the same, so unless I am specifically asked, I don't always share info any more.
