my ancestors married at St Elphin in 1890 and both have the address as Mill Street - I presume this was in Warrington as no other detail is listed in the address column - does anyone know where it was?
thanks

The only Mill St I know is Golborne, which adrress states as Mill St, Golborne, Warrington.

Mill Lane in Newton, I discarded this idea as it seemed the address was a Warrington address (no Golborne / Lowton / Newton etc added to it) and as it was "street" not "lane" - just really puzzled

On the face of it there was a Mill Street in Warrington
1891 Census has 2 Mill Street, Warrington as the BLue Lion Inn.
Will see if I can find anything else

http://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.html
Click on link and enter coordinates 360564 388135
When all maps loaded, click on "1851 Town Plans"
When "old map" loaded in main window, click on main window to "zoom".
Use slider bars to find Mill Street at top of map
Leigh Street and Sankey Street are reference points on a modern map.
