Looking for connections to niddrie/devon/maddieson

George Niddrie and Isabella Hucheon
David Niddrie and Jessie Miller
Duncan Devon and Ann Stewart Young  all born Scotland
and possibly leading to  Maddieson, England

They are all my husband's family, from about 1800 ish, I wondered if anyone recognised the names and would contact me

Thank you for that information, although they are my husbands family they don't appear to have come forward into 1900's where some of the family came to England, I will have another check on this and contact the person who has the interest

Dear All, The above link is a good one into the Niddrie Family in the 1800s.  The few Niddries that I have are from an earlier period around Hill of Craigo, Logie Pert.  William Niddrie  1759 - 1837 married to Jean Lakie 1772 - 1835.  They had two daughters so that Niddrie line does not go forward.  However, Robert Niddrie b 17xx & Jean Milne had another son called James Niddrie b 28 Jun 1769 so there could be a line from there.  Anyway the two lines may not connect after you do the tracing back from where you are.
