You're not a problem, surely?     ;)   ;D

We were trying to arrange to meet near the library, but it proved too difficult finding somewhere that would take a booking for the number that we are. We were told it would just be "pot luck" re seating. So when Judith found that we could book that room at the Australian Heritage Hotel for no cost, we thought that would solve the problem, as we'd all have somewhere to sit and chat and laugh and enjoy a meal together.

I doubt we'd have spent much time in the library somehow anyway.

Dee    :)

What  ::) Me a problem 8) NEVER ;D.........
Perhaps Neil will have to sit outside on the footpath (or in the bar) and we can pass things out to him LOL LOL  :'( :'( :'( :'( Bo Hoo, poor little neil

I can just see me sitting on the footpath grabbing pavolova crumbs as they slip falling from the  mouths of the laughing crowd in the Ladies Parlour ;D

Third Wheel comes to mind, or even a fourth given my size. Perhaps I could take a Hat and improvise a bit of Busking in my base Baritone. :o I could even make enough to pay for my lunch ;D

You girls will never know what you are missing :-X

Have a great day and I would like a little feedback when you return  :P

There is a free bus no 555 that does a circular route from Central Station - Eddy Ave, up George Street, alight at Circular Quay, walk along Alfred Street until you come to Gloucester and Cumberland.  Or you could get off at Bridge Street walk up a little way to Grosvenor on your left, walk along until you come to Gloucester Street, follow it until you hit Cumberland Street. The bus does a circuit up and down George and Elizabeth Streets 9:30 to 3:30 weekdays.

Here's the route map. http://www.131500.com.au/tickets/upload/docs/555map.pdf

Neil, I hope you don't mean you're not coming.  It ceased to be a 'ladies parlour' long ago so it's important that we have a man with us.

Seriously it would be really disappointing for you not to be there.  You are a great contributor to R'chat and add a lot of humour to the proceedings.  Please come!!  Judith

When my beloved first arrived in Oz he was having a solitary quiet drink at a Sydney pub and got chucked out of the nice lounge he was in because he didn't have a lady with him.  :o  In these days of equal opportunity we might get chucked out if we don't have a man with us.   :P

Hi everyone ... back on deck after a road trip and thanks for arranging meet up at the Australia Hotel on 24 April.   Actually, I am feeling rather guilty as I live in Sydney and haven't contributed anything to finding this gathering place' ... can only plead   ???

Hey Hey NEIL ... you MUST come along and promise that I will buy you a PAV   :D with a Beer chaser  ;D  ... I need to thank you personally for your wonderful help you gave me with searching for my husband's 'natural mother' ...  we have just returned from a visit where she lived and from a history book, we have her photo ...  too amazing.     Bonnie
