Dee I was thinking as the mini meet has grown substantially, I was thinking of booking the SCG and having the function catered for. But they cannot feed that number there and have asked for us to check the Sydney convention centre ;D

;D  Neil....we might have to settle for a picnic in Hyde Park or the Domain!  One way to make sure it rains, I suppose.    ;D   ;D   ;D

My  D I L  also suggested Hyde Park Barracks Cafe, as did martywillis, but on looking at their menus, prices there might not suit everyone's budgets. I wish I knew the area better.

I must get around to contacting Cafe Trim....maybe today.

Hi all,

Please bear in mind most places outside/near State Library will be noisey & full.

Cheers,

Hi

Would love to have made to Sydney but health restriction say I cannot fly. But aside from that I would kindly ask that someone who will be there for ANZAC  Day place a poppy on the Memorial for me.

Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful time in Sydney.

Finally got through to a person at Cafe Trim rather than an answering machine.    ::)
They don't take bookings, so although meeting there might be a possibility, as we'd be turning up in dribs and drabs I expect, eating there doesn't sound much of a possibility. We could be scattered all over the place, which defeats the purpose.

I've been googling cafes and and menus and I'm just totally confused. Some of them seem like they'd be very crowded and noisy.....even without us there! (As Martywillis warned.)
The Hyde Park Barracks Cafe looks like it might be OK, but the downloaded menu could be too expensive. Have a look and tell me what you think.

I have to admit I'm not very good at this aspect of the organising things in a reasonably strange city.    :-\
Maybe Loneybone's idea isn't silly! (Except it'd rain!)
