I'll have a go at printing it out in a couple of sizes in the next day or two, Judith, and see how it looks in the card holder.

I use IrfanView to print them, and there is a facility to adjust the size, so once you know how big the card holder is, you can print it accordingly. (Probably other graphic programs have this option too, but IrfanView is my "standard" program :) )

My badge is made!

I found my old photo programme adjusted the size quite easily and I now have a neat name  badge in one of those plastic holders.     :D

It's already in with the heap of bits and pieces I've been dumping on a spare bed ready to pack.   ;D

I think plain paper then laminate is another option. Any craft shop should have brooch pins to super-glue on the back. Then size wouldn't matter.

I thought I should bring this back to the fore again. I'm afraid I've been rather distracted the past few days and not given the mini-meet much thought  - my mother had a serious fall, and I was worried for a bit that I might not be making my trip. However, things aren't as bad as they seemed at first, so everything is still going as planned. Thank goodness!   :)
