There are quite a few Helen Waugh marriages in England in 1970s which will make it more difficult to trace her. Have you searched for that marriage and/or death registration yet?

I sent you a message on My Heritage, but not sure you received it.

I have a copy of the Marriage certificate of Helen Barr and Frederick Waugh. (both parties now deceased) Here is a transcript of the certificate -

23 March 1945
At St. John's RC Church, Castle Douglas, Kirkudbright.
Frederick Waugh, sergeant (Royal Northumberland Fusiliers) Bach, age 27, 5 Ogelid (?) ave, Christchurch, Sunderland. Son of Thomas Waugh, second hand dealer and Dorothy Margensor(?).
Helen Barr, age 24 (?), spinster of 5 Jubilee Terrace, Castle Douglas, Dau of Mary BARR. No Father named.
