« on: Thursday 14 February 13 12:28 GMT (UK) »
Hi how do I find death registration for a death after 1921 in the Lurgan area I know when he died but his gravestone doesn't state his age Henry Doran died august 1950 lurgan ,I dont realy want to buy his death cert cause I know everything about him but his birthdate we think he was in his thirtys when he married but his marriage cert doesn't give his age I think he was born 1980 and thought his death cert would help me prove this

Death certificate for 1950 will not, as far as I can remember, give birthdate- just age in years. The information on a death certificate really just depends on what the informant supplied so aren't always accurate.

Born 1890 perhaps? Have you found him in census records?

Have you asked if the cemetery/graveyard has a burial register or records that would give an age>

Do you think 1890 or 1880 DOB for Henry? In the Civil Registration Indexes on familysearch I can't yet see anything in relation to 1890 but 1880 has 3 candidates (1879, 1881, 1882). I assume that this must be a frontrunner in your census suspects?:

(This may be a Patrick Doran / Sarah Hall, the children possibly from a previous marriage)

Hi Gaffy yes i've checked that family out although no sign of them as a family in 1911 checked patrick and sarahs wedding cert and he was a widower aged 50 she was 45 in 1893 although the ages are slightly out looks like them his father was redmond ,I have found a henry doran born bleary father patrick mother mary gribben who also had children patrick and sarah ,patrick and marys wedding cert states redmond as patricks father also so 99% certain this is my family in 1901 .
found a henry in 1911 aged 32 in Tullintanvally (Annaclone, Down) that could be him but he lives on his own and I cant read his occupation as its blurred

just found army records for a henry doran shankill armagh ,he joined in 1910 ( which would be why he isnt in armagh in 1911 census ) the papers are very damaged but i could see his address as brown st lurgan when he joined aged 25yrs ,he received a certificate in 1918 to an address ending in ring st lurgan cant see the first part of the street name (his son williams birth reg is waring st lurgan in 1917 ),his next of kin where brother william and another brother but cant see his name the henry i believe is mine had two elder brothers first william and second patrick .So i am now certain that Henary doran  in brown st lurgan in 1901 census is the one i'm looking for thanks for your help everyone  :)
