Can anyone help with finding a Birth for Rupert Edward Lee "Buddy" Featherstonhaugh - said to be in Paris 1909 and his parents names please.

This man was an English jazz saxophonist.

Can anyone help with finding this info please.

Using free FindMyPast search there's an Overseas birth registration for Rupert E L Featherstonhaugh in France 1906/1910. Parents should be listed.

I heard him play in Manchester in the early 1950`s.

I had really gone to hear a M/C band called "The Saints", who often played at The Bodega on Cross street. They were amateurs but very good.
If my memory is correct( and it isn`t always these days) another band whose drummer was Gene Krupa was also on the same bill.
Can`t help with your enquiry but the name --Featherstonehaugh-- brought back memories.
We were not sure how it ought to be pronounced, just as it seems or as Cholmondeley is Chumly ,would it be something like Fearson?Viktoria.
