Lookup for John Holmes - nsw elect roll before 1930

Trying to find the Holmes family in elect rolls before 1930.  I have them in Bombala in 1891 but can not find anything after that.

Adding "S" most likely for Samuel ..... I note NSW BDM online index deaths has a Samuel H HOLMES registered 1903 at Bombala. (#5311)

Thanks heaps for all that information.  That has been so helpful.  I have been trying to track old John Holmes down for ages.  I knew he was around the Bombala area in 1891 but lost him.  I have managed to find his wife Mary ann and some of the children, turning up in Sydney in 1910 but John doesn't seem to have come with them.  With a name like John Holmes and no parents name to help me, has made it very hard.
