and Karen - I have seen the name St Clement's, but I'm not sure where to find their records online?? That does seem like it would be a good option..

Ahhhh!   I asked because it was only usual to add the time of birth to a certificate when it was a twin

Ton of Bentley's in Bacup.  Will check them out now..

Thanks Mo!!  Learned something new.  So probaby safe to assume that he is her twin.  He dies a few months later.

Could this be their first child?

I don't think the St Clements records are online but Whitworth Library does local research or Touchstones Arts and Heritage in Rochdale may be able to help?

Karen - yes that is the family. I'm pretty good on a lot of it thanks to lots of help here:)  There are still some gaps; missing baptisms and NOTHING on son Richard born abt 1845. Can't even find the birth registered (unless it it one of the ones not in Rochdale).

I have just noticed that daughter Peggy was baptised at Hallfold in 1832, but after checking the film on Family Search it only goes up to 1837.
