A couple more bits on MARGARET's burial
She is alone at that locatation . There is a MI but says simply

Her last address was South Street Ballarat and she was a widow aged 59.

A second entry in the register says that the site was purchased on 9/4/1907.

Hi,
George & Margaret Bint's daughter, Letitia who married Ernest Charles Newton Hayward apparently died in 1962, Ernest in 1944 both in Victoria.  According to a public family tree on A***y they had 4 children George 1891, Charles 1892, Minnie, 1895 and Ula 1897. However there is no further info on George & Margaret Bint.

A Letitia Bint birth was registered in 1872 Melbourne, Victoria to parents George Bint and mother Margaret nee Ryan.  If this is your George, it means he either arrived 1872 or earlier which seems to be the case as his name is mentioned in The Argus 21 Aug 1872, page 5, as being 'Geo. Bint, foreman of machinery, paid 235 pounds' as the salary paid by the Royal Mint, Melbourne

Hi,
See that C1861 RG9/2169, 103/42/235 at 4 Liverpool St. Warwickshire, has a George Bint aged 37 years born Shropshire, occupation 'Steam Engine Maker' with wife Maria, and son Joshua 9, daughter Mary 7.
FreeBDM lists a marriage of a George Bint to a Maria Sanders Q4/1847 26/217 Bromyard.
Wonder what happened to Maria?

Giblet;  Think your right as the West Coast Times Issue 1252, 27 September 1869 has an article about the arrival of the machinery for the Victorian Mint on the ship 'Hecuba' ... seems obvious to me that George Bint would accompany the precious cargo!

Hi Glblet.  I can't seem to find when George's first wife, Maria, passed away and/or I presume she didn't accompany George when he arrived on 'Hecuba' in 1869

... but hang on a mom ...  there was a Maria Bint who died in Q1/1896 6c/180 Worcester.

So did Maria stayed in England and George was naughty and married Margaret Ryan  :-\
