That's why I couldn't find her - unless the birth date of 1856 isn't correct.

Just found Jesse (Jessy) & his wife Tilpha (close!) on the 1851 with son John (HO107 piece 1619 folio 311 pg 12).

There's a Florence Blunt on the 1871 census, a pupil at Collingwood College in Lewisham. She's about the right age but her POB has been transcribed as Northumberland and then crossed through - looks like N. Shields (RG10 pce 765 folio 126 pg 9).

Florence Jane Thomas nee Blount, is aged 52 [1859]on the 1911 Census, living with husband John [1853], and sons Geo Harry [1882] and Edward Franklin [1893], at 6 Francis St., Chester. She recorded her year of birth as 1857 on the 1901 census, 1856 in 1891, and 1856 in 1881. Florence died in 1942 aged 83, born 1856.
We have a birth certificate for Mary Jane Blunt, father Jesse, mother Zilpah [Sophia on the 1861 Census].
In 1861 Jesse and Zilpah [Sophia] Blunt have a daughter Mary born 1854, and again in 1871 Mary Blunt is working at the Post Office in Goudhurst as a Domestic Servant born 1856 Goudhurst.
So there is a Mary Jane born to John & Zilpah Blunt, recorded as Mary on the census records up to 1871. After her marriage in 1880, we have a Florence Thomas in 1881, Jane Thomas in 1891 & 1901, then Florence Jane Thomas in 1911.
There is no Florence Jane Blunt on BMD, so I need to find a Parish Record with a Florence Mary Jane Blount, parents Jesse & Ziplah Blunt, born abt. 1856 in Goudhurst.
