Hi Paul,

The records don't appear to be there until 1632, starting with the Bishop's Transcripts:

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/Misc/CBW/WRY/Kirkbyoverblow.html

Have you tried Family Search ?

Kind regards,

Pels.

It could be that the early registers for Kirkby Overblow have been lost or destroyed.

Hi Paul
If someone was born in Kirkby Overblow, then as a rule they would have been baptised in Kirkby Overblow. As you can see from the Genuki website page which Pels sent you, the Kirkby Overblow registers start in 1647 and these are on Familysearch. Obviously any registers which may have existed before this date have not survived, although there are a few Bishop's Transcripts dating from 1632.  You won't find any registers dating back to 1512 anywhere in the country as they were not introduced until 1538, although some parishes resisted beginning a register until well after this date.  Hope this helps.
