as you are looking for people who are likely to be still alive we cant discuss them on this forum,but it might be a good idea to post on the orkney family history site message board, the folk there will probably be able to help, there are a lot of sutherlands in orkney, bound to be some related to your family, there is also a facebook page for the ofhs where people can post queries,and on the orkney image library website, if i can help or make any queries send me a personal message
