Naylor Deaths & Burials
« on: Friday 08 February 13 09:42 GMT (UK) »
Hey - I am hoping someone can help with queries I have relating to 2 people in my family tree.  Mary Ann Charlton m Bernard McGuire Naylor in 1914 in St Anne's Cathedral.  Using 2 of the paid ancestry sites I have found a Bernard M Naylor who died in Leeds 5 years later (though his age is 5 years different from that worked out from age on marriage cert).  There is no father's name on the marriage cert for Bernard so I haven't been able to use that to find any birth/census records to see if this might be him.

Would anyone have access to any resources which could help identify if this is him and where he might be buried?

Thanks

Rhonda

the yorkshire bmd states>

NAYLOR Bernard M married  CHARLTON Mary A Leeds in a Registered Building Leeds RB/186/104 1914

Under British Army WW1 Pensions in anc there is a record for a Bernard M Naylor born circa 1883 aged 32
for the year 1915
stating Regimental Number:26675 of the 11th Battalion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Regiment
with 11 images attached
stating a Mary Ann Naylor as next of kin

and there is a certificate reference
indicating born about 1885 and died in the March quarter of 1919 age by informant suggested as 34 years registered at  Holbeck ( 9b 1117)

so I think the records are one in the same soul.

i may be off base here but i believe this may be his birth reference>

June quarter of  1885  one Naylor, Bernard is registered at  Sheffield ( 9c481)

but I believe you may have to purchase all the certificates of birth death and marriage to prove or disprove....

Hi,

I see you have also posted a request on Yorkshire Indexers re the Naylor family and I have put details on there re Bernard.

Bernard died 6/3/1919 and was buried 11/3/1919 in Killingbeck(Leeds Catholic Cemetery) in a communal grave B683 along with 4 other people.

Regards,

Ian
