Looking for Jeanetha MATHEWS on a shipping list

I am trying to find Jeanetha Mathews b. 1876 Cape Colony on a passengers list to Australia.

I have found her son
Harold Mathews b. abt 1903
arrival  2 December 1912 Sydney Australia (NSW Unassisted Immigrant Passenger List 1826-1922)
from Cape Town onboard the ship Runic.

I know Harold's father did not accompany them.

I would appreciate someone glancing over this passenger list incase I have missed her. I know many chatters have keen eyes.  She may have used her maiden name Saayman or the variation Zaaiman. Also her first name is sometimes written as Jeannetha or Jeanette.

Yes, this is the correct family. The father William Robert Mathews, Nora and Raleigh came to Australia in 1913.

I am having trouble finding Jeanetha on the same list as Harold 2 Dec 1912.

Maybe she used another name apart from those I mentioned.

She was on the Afric with the rest of the family in 1913 or is that another relation?

Well, JT I can't see her either.  The only person with any name remotely like her forename is a Janet YOUNG.  Looking at the way the list is written it looks as though it's possible that Harold my have been travelling with Lena?, Beatrice, Ian and Alec VALENTINE

The Valentine name is new to me. However, I will ask around.

Debra the info I found was William her husband arrived in Melbourne 29 Nov 1913 on board the Afric with Nora and Raleigh.  It could be her that you found. What name did she use please? If it is her then Harold may have travelled with the Valentine family.

Just search for MATHEWS, 1913, ship name Afric.  Her name is spelt Jeannette.

Interesting to note this child's surname was listed on the Pro Vic shipping search site as-
 
HAROLD MATHIAS (aged 9 yrs etc)

The father's name was clearly MATTHEWS in all of the news items of him I have seen.

I have also found the entry for Harold Mathias aged 9.

Both are mine.
