Charles Seeds Belfast/Carrickfergus
« on: Monday 04 February 13 23:01 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for information on the Seeds line in my tree. Charles was born in 1796 and baptised at St Annes in Belfast. However grave records indicate he was born in Carrickfergus. He was a tallow candle maker in Belfast High Street 1805-1819. His father was Richard and mother Jane. Her maiden name is unknown. However Charles may have had a bother Richard Davis Seeds (B.1800)- and I am guessing this is a clue to his mothers maiden name.
Would anyone have any further information on this line?
Thanks

Have you tried http://www.nifhs.org their special genealogical  index has a section SEEDS, and then under family trees has 6 pages of sources. I didnt check them, just noticed on the first page I opened ie p6 was an entry
Eg Protestant Householders' Returns (1740) for County Londonderry [T808/152258] [Sorted by Surname, Barony, Parish and Townland] by Bill macafee has a simple entry for John Seeds Londonderry townland, Templemore parish
