John you could send david a pm (private message) its probable you are researching the same family. I have sourced quiet a bit of info on the family but it depends on what you are looking for.
There is a John Durham in the Tithe Applotment books  in Killeendooling midleton in 1829 The name Barry Durham is prevalent I think this is short for bartholomew.

 Bartholomew Durham i have noted in 1706 Cork wills index and 1763 (date of probate) may have been the first of the Durhams in Midleton.
Any information would be helpfull in trying to piece together the family.

When you have time can you look up a baptism for William Durham in 1860 plus sponsors etc.This is a bit of a long shot but you never know.

  Hi John, there will not be any records in midleton for John Durham b. c. 1806 as Midleton records begin in 1819. Have you looked at www.irishgenealogy.ie this covers the baptisms in some of the Cork City Churches, namely St Peter & Pauls & South Parish.

The last of the Durhams a brother & 2 sisters died some years ago and were all unmarried  also a durham lady who married a callaghan in midleton had a daughter & 2 sons now deceased all remained single as well. I dont know of any Durhams still living in the area.
