Cambusnethan Parish Record Lookup

Please help me find the birth of my ancester.  George McPhail was born 1853 in Cambusnethan. Parents Henry McPhail and Nancy (nee Laffterty)  I have tried the Parish records "Pre 1855" to no avail, I found him 8 years old 1861 census in 1 Dimisdail Wishaw, also his brother Henry (written on the census as Henedry) who was 6 years old.  I have all the info for the rest mentioned on the census.  Thankyou in anticipation

Sorry, like you, can't see anything on those two children pre 1855 births/christenings 

It may be that their birth went unrecorded, or the family belonged to a different denomination not included on the OPRs (also checked the RC registers on SP and nothing there either).

Wishaw Relief Church baptism register has a record of a McPhail birth but parents are John McPhail and Mary Sommerville 1853

Thankyou for your research.  I might have a new lead on George and his brothers, I am optomistic, but it is strange that I know George and his brother Henry were born in Cambusnethan and cant find a record!  It would answer an important part of my research as to when their mother and father arrived in Scotland from Ireland.  Thankyou again.
