« on: Sunday 03 February 13 14:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I have Henry Moss b 1845 Birr Barracks , Living in Leeds, married 1864 Leeds , Beasly Ann Mchale, or Bessy Ann Mchale, dependant where you look, Marriage cert has Beasley, but the newspaper announcment has Bessy. She was 18, on there it has witnesses a Bridget Mchale,

Now i have the couple in 1871 29 Gorden Street, Holbeck both say born Ireland, but after that. Henry is married again to Sarah Ann Steel, i have the cert, he uses Micheal Henry Moss, 14 Feb 1876, and the same address as the child Mary Elizabeth Moss, born to Sarah Ann Moss and Henry Moss, plus the fathers details are same for both for henry.

I just cannot find any more details for Beasly Ann Moss nee mchale

any help greatly appriciated

OK, so I'll post this just for clarification ...

1871 Census
29 Gordon Street, Holbeck, Leeds
RG10 piece 4523 folio 81 page 45

Henry MOSS / Head / Mar / 25 / Flax Mill Lab / Ireland
Ann do / Wife / Mar / 26 / (Woollen) Cloth Burler / do

You say Henry married again in 1876 - have you found a death for Ann?

No no death for Ann as yet, cant seem to find her in 51 or 61 census, presuming she was over in England either

I don't think the 1871 census information is right ...

Why dont you think it is right, they are both born ireland, living in Holbeck, in 1876 he marries at St Thomas Leylands , they were living at back nile street, in Leylands with Sarah Ann Moss, he then changes occupation to insurance agent

What was Henry's address on the 1864 marriage certificate?

Bessy could be Elizabeth? Just a thought ...

Weavers Square was both there address', he was an oil crusher, and Beasly Ann, flax mill worker
