If you would like to see the digitised copies of the above WW2 records

http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/using/search/

It is worth noting that  the mother of the men ELIZABETH SWEENEY- was at the time of their enlistments, living at 171 Livingstone Rd Marrickville NSW.

Am I correct in thinking that John Feeney SWEENEY appears to be Most Rev Bishop Paschal C.P,  D.D. As also noted in his father Michael SWEENEY's death notice 1937 (link provided by Ros in Reply 5 - http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article30755107)

SWEENEY, Most Rev Bishop Paschal C.P,  D.D. – September 2, 1981, at St Brigid’s Retreat, Marrickville, formerly Bishop of  Vanimo, Papua New Guinea and Parish Priest of St. Brigid’s Marrickville in his 51 year of profession as a Passionist and his 46th year of ordination, aged 68 years.

SWEENEY, John Feeney – September 2, 1981, loved brother and brother-in-law of Vince and Joan and fond uncle of J*** and S*****, R***** and F****, E***** and L**, P***, M******* and of their children.

Purely by elimination of the years, the following marriage brings up one result on
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

You need to register to search and pay to view the record.

Hi all,
I am Lin's sister and introduced this to her as she wanted to try and find her husbands relatives by herself with a bit of help from me,
Thank you everyone we have all the records of the deaths and military records. We also have the births in South Australia apart from the ones born overseas. Mary born 1909 became a nun and John became bishop Paschal.
when they arrived in 1911 Rhonda does it say where they came from and what site did you find that because I have searched everywhere.
You have all been helpful and hopefully Lin will now know how to answer more fully.
It looks like we off to Scotland now not looking forward as it can cost a lot of money but a lot of people there have been helpful on her otherside of the family.

Regards
Sue

The family is named in this index. I don't have a sub to see the full record.

Sue I am so pleased she purchased the 1906 marriage certificate.  Not only will it help with her research but it is good genealogy practice.  I noticed she had posted for further assistance on the Scottish board.

Cheers for now  :)
