Hello all. Have just found a new member of my Twigger family tree,Ernest Christian Twigger, born 1899 West Ham, Essex who died in 1918 at the Somme in 1st WW. His father Richard James Twigger was the son of Eusebius Twigger who came from a long line of Twiggers from Bedworth Warwickshire.The family moved from Bedworth to work on the railways in London.I'm really looking for someone who might have photos or information about this part of the family.Ernest had at least one sister Florence Louisa, and two brothers, Richard William and Henry Thomas.Richard James Twigger married Louisa Alice Wyatt from West Ham. Have found a photo of a family grave and his war grave cemetary in Northern France but wonder if anyone has this family in their family tree and could give me any more info. Thanks a lot. Euansma.

Have you looked at surname board?

Hi, yes I have had a look but there is only one person looking at the Twiggers. Its a great name to research but in Bedworth there are lots of them. I know it was a long shot posting, what are the odds of someone having one particular person in their family tree, but I've only just found him and really curious to find out more. There are three trees on An***y,no mention of photos though.

Just came across this message and realise it was some years ago. Are you still interested in this? Ernest Christian Twigger was a relation of mine.

Hi yes I'm always interested in any new information. How are you related to him? I put him on the British legion website as I didn't know if any closer family knew of him. Eusebius and Jonathan both moved to London for work, but a lot of  Twiggers stayed in Bedworth either mining or silk ribbon weaving. Look forward to hearing from you.

Ernest Twigger would have been my great great uncle. Both my father and grandfather were given the middle name Ernest in his honour.

Slightly complicated have been trying to work it out myself, but putting as simply as I can, Eusebius, father of Richard James, who was father to Ernest Christian, was the brother of Thomas Twigger my grt grt grandfather. Which means that he was Thomas Twigger's grt nephew.
The dates I have for Eusebius are 1837-1890. Married Elizabeth Randle b1844. Not checked those dates recently are on my Genes Reunited site family tree. My grandfather was Thomas William Twigger and grt grandfather Ambrose Twigger. Did your family stay in London or do you have family connections to Warwickshire? Thanks for post. H.
