On this day 24.02.1927 my brother John Thompson Stark was born .He emigrated to Australia  returning home for one year as he missed Australia so much he returned in 1956 .This was the country he loved .Sadly he was killed at his work place  27.04.1965 .
I would have loved for him to have met my husband and children but it wasn't to be

On 24 th Feb. 2001, my mother arrived at Glasgow airport from the IOM.
2 years later on 24th Feb 2003 my mother Doris Kane died aged 90.

On 26 February 1681 my 6 x great grandfather, Thomas Ashwell, was born in Cardington, Bedfordshire, the son of Matthias (or Matthew) and Elizabeth or Sarah.  According to records on Ancestry he was baptised on the same day a year later in 1682, but I'm not sure whether this is right. Information this far back is rather sketchy, but I count myself lucky to have found this much!
