My gt. aunt, Sophia Alice Kingsman was born in 1897 in Kensington; daughter of John and Annie (nee George). She married a soldier, Thomas Frederick Pembrey, in 1918 at St. Clements, Kensington and 2 daughters were born, the second one dying as a baby. She divorced Thomas in late 1920s and later married Henry Ovenden. Sophia died in 1977.
My 2xgt. aunt Eliza Burgess was born in 1861 in London, daughter of Robert Richard and Elizabeth (nee Gandy). Eliza died in 1864.
Richard Henry Gillians, a 1st cousin 2R was born in Woolwich in 1899, son of James William and Edith (nee Rainer). The family emigrated to Canada; Edith already had a brother and sister in the country. He married in 1924 in Montreal and died in 1971 in Quebec.
My cousin, Gwendoline Troy Barham, born in 1938 in London; daughter of Alfred Ernest and his first wife, Ada Beatrice (nee Reed). She married in 1956 and had 2 children. Gwendoline was found dead in Manchester in 1989. There was an Inquest held but I am unable to see the report as I am not a close enough relation.
