I find this a good exercise as I come across people for whom I have research outstanding and I've bought a few more certificates since this thread started last November.

Me too. I'm sorry - it was never intended to be a costly thread. ::)

I think that a new thread for each day would be a bit complicated. It would need someone to remember to start it!

What I'm not sure of is what will happen when we get round to November, which is when I started the first one. Will we all just re-post the same anniversaries or will there be enough new people joining in to keep it fresh?

I've got some new stuff for Nov and Dec  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Richard Whittaker and Elizabeth (Betty) Moors my husband’s 2 x g.grandfather married at St Mary’s Parish Church, Stockport, Cheshire in 1830.  Richard’s marriage was 18 years and 1 day after his baptism, he was aged 18 years and 38 days old when he married.  Richard was a hatter like his male ancestors and descendants.

William Hayes and Elizabeth Done my 4 x g.grandparents were married at All Saints Church, Runcorn in 1781

Mary Collett my 1st cousin 3 times removed was baptised in Suffolk in 1829

Robert Collett my 5 x g.g.uncle was baptised in Eye, Suffolk in 1704/5

Robert Day my 3 x g.g.uncle was baptised in Osbournby, Lincolnshire in 1789

Thomas Woodward my 1st cousin 4 times removed was baptised in Frodsham, Cheshire in 1824

Hugh Howard my husband’s 3 x g.grandfather died in Liverpool, Lancashire in 1853.  He was 62 and had been suffering from Bronchitis for 10 days.  He was a boot and shoe maker like his father before him.
